Pardy Still Smiling After 13 miles!

The Bath Half Marathon which took place on the 16th March brought together thousands of people from all over the UK who set themselves a huge challenge of running for 13 miles around Bath. Despite the one hour delay, poor weather and wet faces, I completed the marathon in 2 hours and 5 minutes non stop, which was an overwhelming and surprising personal achievement!

I ran for Friend of EduSport and raised an impressive £120, which I know will help improve and develop our projects in Zambia. My own involvement with FOE enabled me to understand and appreciate the incredible work that this charity carries out for young people to achieve their potential in sport and education. This was one of the central reasons which gave me the strength and confidence to keep running, so that I was able to raise as much money as I could for FOE.

Since completing the Bath Half Marathon, I have been able to reflect on my experience to value the significance of FOE in significance of FoE to 'educate, empower and inspire' young people in Zambia today.

Thank you for giving me with spirit to complete the marathon!
