Back in June just as the summer was starting one of our supporters was considering something other than what the long days of summer would hold or which holiday choice she should make. She was contemplating her dread locks, their past, their present and their short future.
Eilidh Grant took up a rather personal challenge, one which would raise over £950 for Friend of EduSport.
“So after 9 years of being a Dreadlock Rasta Fairy it's time for my much loved dreadz to go - all 47 ofthem! I not going to lie I'm pretty nervous about it, we have had some amazing times together, travelling around the world. Having dreadlocks has become a big part of me, a lot of you out there only know me with dreadz, but I did have a life before and I'm sure I will survive again - I know they will be missed though.”
Eilidh raised almost £21 per dreadlock cut at http://www.justgiving.com/EilidhBeilidhtheRastaFairy
This is one of our wackiest and most ‘unique’challenges to date, Eilidh has been a true ambassador of FoEduSport for the past 3 years now and we are regularly inspired by her will to take on new challenges. Thanks to Eilidh for her ongoing support and we love the ‘new’ look!
Not one to sit still for long, Eilidh and Lauren Holden are already conjuring up their next event. Check it out at http://bit.ly/bOt54M
See you there, with short hair!
