Autumn in Bath | FoE Development Day

Bath University provided a scenic setting for the third FOE Development Day on Saturday 16 October.

Despite technical difficulties, the day kicked off with a powerful introduction by organiser Emily Reynolds, followed by some well loved Zambian movement games.

We were honoured to have The Right Worshipful Mayor of Bath, Shaun McGall, attending the day, who introduced his theme of the year as 'Town and Gown' and pledged his support to charities such as FOE which involve local students.

A Zambia quiz and a brief history of IDEALS and FoE warmed up the audience, before Annie Namukanga told us about the founding of EduSport and her journey through the peer leader framework.

After the break, Grace McCatty, fresh from IDEALS 2010, took the lead and loosened everyone up with some more games. For the final hour, the now familiar FoE Development Day 'speed-dating' format allowed attendees to rotate around stations, hear about current projects and brainstorm ways the charity can move forward.

Many thanks and congratulations to Emily Reynolds for organising an inspirational Development Day. We'll be moving up North on 4th December, as Andrew Jenkin organises the next Development Day in Stirling. More details to follow!
