Friend of Edusport has helped 3 UK schools forge links with counterparts in Zambia
Ratby in Leicester is now linked with Chawama SEE, while St Peters in Essex have partnered Mama Stellas. The third school, Gosfield in Essex, does not currently have a partner, but supports education programmes in Zambia through sponsorship.
Friend of EduSport’s Andrew Jenkin got the ball rolling when he went to deliver Zambian-themed assemblies at St Peters and Gosfield. The Ratby link was established through a friend of Fiona Campbell.
Examples of how the schools are promoting their Zambian links include geography lessons, fundraising through bake sales and non-uniform days, sponsorship of teachers, and encouraging pupils to exchange letters with Zambia.
Another great example of great work promoted by FoE!
