Meet Aslaug Helegesen - at 85, she is bringing inspiration and innovation to our Go Sister World Series network?
We would like to introduce you to Aslaug Helgesen, a close family friend of the EduSport network in Norway, UK and Zambia. She is an 85-year old Norwegian grandmother who knits ‘ladder’ socks selling them locally to raise funds.
What’s more, she donates all the profit to support sport & education in Zambia. So far Aslaug has raised enough funds to sponsor a peer leader in 2011; helping a youth in Zambia continue with their school education.
We love Aslaug's social enterprise and have brought some socks to the UK to encourage action in others but also increase her market! Aslaug - we take our hats (and socks) off to you!
