Sophie and Maryam successfully ran up the 64-floor Al Mas Tower in Dubai, fundraising lots for FoE on the way!

Sophie Griffiths tells us about it... 

“We finished the event after a sweaty and very intense 31 minutes. The climb started well but by the 50th floor our legs were heavier than stone and we were suffering from the lack of air conditioning!

Luckily the DMCC Director of Security, Pierre Grabowski, was on hand to supply us with water at the top and check that we were still alive. The best moment was definitely reaching the Level 1 sign on the way down and realising that we'd nearly made it!”

The girls would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has kindly donated in support of their challenge. Boosted by some whopping donations, their fundraising total currently stands at £1070 including gift aid – but a forthcoming article due to be published in Gulf News may send the total even higher!
